Nišava wine-growing region covers fields that are located in the narrow valley of the middle basin of the river Nišava.

Nisava wine-growing region includes the territory of the municipalities of Bela Palanka, Pirot, Dimitrovgrad and Babušnica.

Nišava wine-growing region covers an area of 49 333 ,88 hectares, where the largest wine-growing subregion is Pirot wine-growing subregion.

Bela Palanka wine-growing subregion includes narrow terrain of the Bela Palanka basin on both sides of the river Nišava.

Bela Palanka wine-growing subregion covers the following municipalities:
Northern part: parts of municipalities Gradište I, Dolac, Krupac, Vrandol, Draževo, Moklište, Dol, Buburovac, Klenje, Ljubatovica, Sinjac, Vranište and Crnoklište.
Southern part: parts of  municipalities Crnče, Ravni Do, Lanište, Leskovik, Tamnjanica, Crveni Breg, Glogovac, Špaj, Crvena Reka, Vrgudinac, Novo Selo, Mokra, Divljana, Oreovac, Bela Palanka – out of town, Bela Palanka – town, Kremenica, Klisura and Čiflik.

Pirot wine-growing subregion occupies hilly terrains of Pirot basin on both sides of the river Nišava.

Pirot wine-growing subregion covers the following municipalities:
Northern part: parts of municipalities Crnoklište, Crvenčevo, Kumanovo, Staničenje, Temska, Sopot, Nišor, Pirot – out of town, Gradašnica, Pirot – city, Berilovac, Izvor and Krupac.
Southern part: parts of municipalities Ponor, Blato, Mali Suvodol, Kostur, Veliki Suvodol, Gnjilan, Pirot – out of town, Staničenje, Crvenčevo, Pirot – city, Barje Čiflik, Rasnica, Držina, Petrovac, Vojnegovac, Jalbotina, Sukovo, Gornja Držina, Vlasi, Banski Dol, Planinica, Srećkovac, Gojin Dol, Gradište, Činiglavci, Obrenovac, Željuša, Lukavica, Gradinje and Dimitrovgrad.

Babušnica wine-growing subregion is a an oasis located in a valley east of Suva mountain.

Babušnica wine-growing subregion includes parts of municipalities Bratiševac, Striževac, Provaljenik, Donje Krnjino, Izvor, Kaluđerovo, Suračevo, Gorčince, Draginac, Vava, Stol and Kambelevac, and the municipalities Babušnica and Aleksandrovac.
