Niš wine-growing region occupies vineyards that are situated in the lower basin of the river Nišava and lower basins of rivers Južna Morava and Moravica.

Niš wine-growing region includes territory in the municipalities of Dimitrovgrad, Aleksinac, Doljevac, the city of Niš and in the municipality of Svrljig.

Niš wine-growing region covers an area of 104 084,40 hectares, the largest wine-growing subregion is Čegar wine-growing subregion.

Sokobanja wine-growing subregion is located on the northeast side of the Niš area and includes the depression-mountainous regions of Sokobanja.

Sokobanja wine-growing subregion covers parts of  municipalities Jošanica, Vrmdža, Mužinac, Šarbanovac, Beli Potok, Sokobanja, Nikolinac, Blendija, Dugo Polje, Bogdinac, Čitluk, Trgovište, Žučkovac, Resnik, Trubarevac, Vrbovac and Rujevica.

Aleksinac wine-growing subregion includes fields on the right side of the Južna Morava, between the highway and mountainous areas east of Aleksinac.

Aleksinac wine-growing subregion includes parts of municipalities Mozgovo, Bovan, Vukašinovac, Deligrad, Jasenje, Rutevac, Ćićina, Bobovište, Subotinac, Kraljevo, Aleksinac van varoš, Vakup, Aleksinac varoš, Prugovac, Aleksinački Bujmir, Glogovica, Stanci, Lipovac, Gornji Krupac, Prekonozi, Rsovac, Draževac and Katun, and municipalities Bradarac, Donji Krupac, Beli Breg and Dobrujevac.

Žitkovac wine-growing subregion covers fields from the left side of the Južna Morava river, between the Belgrade-Niš railway and slopes of Jastrebac and the municipality of Krusevac.

Žitkovac wine-growing subregion includes portions of municipalities Donji Ljubeš, Srezovac, Gornji Ljubeš, Korman, Porodin, Kulina, Čukurovac, Česta, Vrćenovica, Loćika, Koprivnica, Bankovac, Tešica, Lužane, Nozrina, Moravac, Žitkovac, Prćilovica, Donji Adrovac i Trnjane, and municipalities Donja Peščanica, Gornja Peščanica, Gredetin, Radevce, Jakovlje, Ljupten, Kamenica, Loznac, Šurić, Mali Drenovac, Gornje Suhotno, Krušje, Gornji Adrovac, Donje Suhotno, Belja, Stublina.

Cegar wine-growing subregion covers fields in the lower basin of the river Nišava, and mountain terrain from the right.

Cegar wine-growing subregion includes parts of the municipalities Gornja Trnava, Miljkovac, Berčinac, Paljina, Gornja Toponica, Vrtište, Rujnik, Čamurlija, Trupale, Popovac, Donji Komren, Gornji Komren, Hum, Brenica, Kamenica, Donja Vrežina, Knez Selo, Gornja Vrežina, Jasenovik, Malča, Oreovac, Vrelo, Pasjača, Sićevo, Prosek-Manastir, Ostrvica, Kunovica, Ravni Do, Jelašnica, Niška banja, Prva Kutina, Radikina bara, Rautovo, Čukljenik and Kunovica, and municipalities Vrelo, Kravlje, Paligrace, Vele Polje and Donji Matejevac I.

Kutina wine-growing subregion includes wine-growing fields that are located on the south side and near the city of Niš.

Kutina wine-growing subregion includes parts of the municipalities of Niš „Bubanj“, Pasi Poljana, Niš „Ćele Kula“, Suvi do, Niška banja, Prva Kutina, Vukmanovo, Berbatovo, Donje Vlase, Perutina, Knežica, Malošište, Belotinac, and the municipalities Gabrovac and Ćurlina.

Svrljig wine-growing subregion is located on the north western slopes of Svrljig mountain, and in the valley around the mountain (in the central part of the municipality).

Svrljig wine-growing subregion includes parts of municipalities Slivje, Lalinac, Plužina, Niševac, Grbavče, Prekonoga, Šljivovik, Svrljig, Đurinac, Ribare, as well as municipality Merdželat.
